Derby Notarial Castle
According to the well-known Aosta Valley historian André Zanotto, the castle was built no earlier than the 16th century and probably belonged to the Lachenal family.
It is an articulated complex made up of several buildings and has recently been restored.
The windows with inverted keel arches are carved in stone; the entrance door is decorated with floral motifs and the architrave is surmounted by a carved cross.
According to a local tradition, there is an underground gallery connecting the notarial castle with the judicial castle.
Currently, the castle can only be visited from the outside.
