In the last part of the Valle d’Aosta, at the foot of Mont Blanc, vine cultivation rises to prohibitive heights of up to 1200 metres. We find ourselves in some of the highest vineyards in Europe. The cultivation area extends over the municipalities of Morgex and La Salle. The Vallée d’Aoste D.O.C. Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle is produced exclusively from the Prié Blanc vine, the only indigenous Valle d’Aosta variety with a white berry, free from the foot and grown on very low pergolas.
The Cave Mont Blanc de Morgex et La Salle was founded in 1983 and today has around 80 proud owners who love their small vineyards and cultivate 18 hectares of vines with passion. The aim is to make the most of the authenticity and originality of the combination of vine and terroir. La Cave adopts a rigorous oenological philosophy that allows Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle to express the totality and uniqueness of its characteristics.
